He brought out a window (bad contact at pin 8)
what's the problem ?????

exactly that mate, bad soldering or dirty connection on pin 8 or you have the chip around the wrong way (hope its not that though) :afraid:

Do you resolved problem? I have problem too with same 24cXXX eeproms ,, bad contact on pin 6,, . Try uncheck DEVICE INSERTION TEST in options, I soloved problem and read OK if uncheck this option.

IS NORMAL
THERE IS AN EXPLANATION ??????
