My S600 220.178 engine won't turn and won't start (upon switching the EIS, instrument panel lights up and Autoboss scanner is capable of commanding and activating fanfare horn at left SAM module). I've installed a new battery last month May 2011 and check with Midtronics which reads 600CCA 12.65volts (enough juice to crank the engine but even a slight reaction it response to none). Scan with Autoboss and indicates no fault relating to powertrain, faults only pertains to the active suspension system (suspension height level drops very low). A/C system used to indicate B1000 replace N22 control module and refrigerant refill which cuts the A/C operation but resumes operation after clearing the fault codes at N22 panel (The A/C system in guaranteed to be free from refrigerant leak which was tested with 24-hour pressure & vacuum leak (http://www.2carpros.com/questions/2001-mercedes-benz-s600-mb-wont-turn-and-start#) check). I've also tested the starter relay and its working fine, i've also check the line to ground voltage terminal 85 & 30 of the starter relay socket and starter fuse indicating good battery voltage (right SAM module). Is my EIS dead? Can I make jump across the starter relay socket terminal 30 to 87 upon ignition switch ON to make a force start and at the same time to test my starter if it is also dead (will it damage anything)? Any advice would be a great help :)

Does the gear indicator displayed in the ICM or not when switch ignition on? If there is no gear displayed in ICM, you may check the relay KK which located in the right SAM module.
