if you have a fat 32 drive then use Digital Kaos - Downloads - wii backupmanager 0.3.beta1 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/wii-backupmanager-0-3-beta1-1496/) to put at least 1 iso on it then try plugging it in the wii

Well I as understand it you're better off formatting it WBFS Manager (http://wbfsmanager.codeplex.com/releases/view/26808) then you can add any iso to your drive.

most people are formatting to fat32 now as you can put music, movies.iso's and other files on it which all can be read by the wii.
plus the drive can be read by your pc making it easier to defrag and maintain the drive.

Yes I know it can be formatted FAT32 or NTFS so files can be drag & dropped but how come most specify WBFS?

I would loved to have mine FAT32 or NTFS.

I'm having trouble installing the USB Loader GX-Forwarder.wad as I've said in the other thread.

most tuts are old and were written when wbfs was the prefered option.
have you tried patching your ios36-236 with mmm?

Assuming your friend and you are running the same system version 4.3 (you haven't said) and you have the same softmod apps installed then there should be any difference to how they operate should there? There is something different between your systems?

Are you should your wd 2tb hard drive is compatible?

I don't know which OS you are using but they won't format a 2TB external drive FAT32. My WinXP wouldn't format my 147GB drive so I used EASEUS Partition Master 8.0.1 Home Edition (http://download.cnet.com/Easeus-Partition-Master-Home-Edition/3000-2248_4-10863346.html)

What did you use to put the iso on the drive ImgBurn or just drag & drop the iso?

Thats where WBFS Manager comes in it will format any drive and add all your iso's.

Update: Another great site for Wii Softmodding and downloading loads of games is http://www.wiiso.com/ but you have to join before you can read anything but its worth it.

Assuming they are running the same system menu ver. why not run a sys check (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/SysCheck) on both and spot the difference. It will copy a list of everything your wii has installed, run it on both and just compare, see what you have on your's that he hasn't got.

Yes I have IOS36-64-3608 but how does that install IOS236 there is no ISO236 listed in NUS?

I've search on here for IOS236 and a link that ajpepe72 has shown but the download link isn't available because Server is under technical emergency maintenance.

Ios236 - GAF***039;s Wii Homebrew Tutorial (http://gwht.wikidot.com/ios236)

no need for that go to the link i gave you for cfg loader click on other useful download link and there is a forwarder link, download the wad put it in wad folder and install with wad manager
I've search for cfg loader in that thread but nothing shows?

Isn't IOS236 for the Configurable USB Loader? I wouldn't mind any bleeding loader Wiiflow or anything?

Well this softmoding is pissing me off. USB Loader GX says it needs cIOS222, 249 or 250. Configurable USB Loader needs cIOS249. I couldn't remember where I had CIOS-PACK-v3.zip from so I Googled it CIOS-PACK-v3.zip (http://marcosgomezplaton.com/descargas/) which has cIOS222[38]-v65535.wad, cIOS249[38]-v21d2x4.wad, USBLoaderCFG - UCXF - IOS58 v9.wad with 9 other wads which I didn't try. I installed them with Multi-Mod Manager 13.4 but they wouldn't install.

I've just downloaded ModMii for Windows - GBAtemp.net (http://gbatemp.net/t207126-modmii-for-windows) and ran it. I selected the options I wanted to install and it made them in COPY_TO_SD folder along with the wad folder. I set it to installed all 16 wads with Multi-Mod Manager but one wouldn't install USBLoader(s)-ahbprot58-SD-USB-v9-IDCL.wad.

I ran USB Loader GX again and it still wants the same cIOS wads the same with Configurable USB Loader. As part of the ModMii package I added NeoGamma and Wiiflow. NeoGamma just wanted to load something of a DVD and Wiiflow just kept showing a picture of the external hard drive connections. Yes it was plugged in the USB connector near the edge.

I've read the important parts in http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/f16/wii-usb-hd-loader-34586/ but that has been going for over 2 years and nothing new to try shows up in there.

I tried to load Priiloader 0.7 but that didn't work either, you see a list of things its trying to do successfully then at the bottom it shows things that didn't work but it doesn't stop on long enough to read the details, crap programming.

Anymore useful suggestions CK?

try installing IOS58 Installer - WiiBrew (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/IOS58_Installer) then reinstall the homebrew channel and the retry forwarder wad.
