Hi Mates
I have Saab 93, 2004, 1.8t.
Car is with dammage ESP modul which is based in CIM.
I got another one and only swap 96CL66A (response for immo) but car wont start now at all. On Dash is message:
"Key not accepted, Contact service"
So I have solder back 96CL66AI in to origianl (working one) CIM but not working as well, the same error.
I have cleaned and soldered again and nothing. Im lost now.

My question is:
1. Can some one see the PIN from attached CIM module-96CL66A
Download CIM_SAAB.bin for free on Filesonic.com (http://www.filesonic.com/file/1256250904/CIM_SAAB.bin)

2. How to do any diagnostic (read errors in immo, program key) when the key wont go on position ON (block by TWIST) ??

3. What is the way to fix all this problem??
Car was starting grand before, after when I swap 96CL66A and then swap back it doesnt start now :(

Much appreciate for any help!!

hi mate, i think you will need an op-com or tech2 to reprogramme the cim to your car as its linked to other ecu's on the car, then you have the problem of the code, you will need the code for the car, saab dealers dont give you it and op-com wont get you this code, you need it to programme new units to your car,, maybe someone else knows different but thats my experience with saabs

Erold and Jonny R - thanks for PIN!!

But old CIM was working ok (car was starting) only ESP light was on it. That was the reason to changed it. So I put back 96CL66A in to original CIM to make car run. But car not starting now. Even original CIM need to be programmed now when it was working before???

Main thing, to program CIM I need to have key on 'ON' position and its impossible cause TWICE modul blocking key now. I can not turn it in to ON position..... how to fix that?? I tried with diagnostic tools (Diagun, gutmann) and no connection at all.

Jonny R - it possible to do this with op-com without service codes? Have you done it before? Or I need codes?

Are you sure that you put the 96CL66A back the right way?

But how to release lock to put key in position "ON" I know Tech 2 has function "Force Key" to let you unlock this but dont have GM Tech 2 for this moment. There is other way m8s?

Hi,
Take the ignition switch out, when you look from behind you will see a small spring and pin, pull it back with a small screwdriver and turn the key.

Thanks sherl645!!

But anyway I think I now why car doesn't star with original CIM now. My original 93cl66a went in to the car with other CIM and memory was modified. I didnt saved original bc didnt know that other CIM can modify memory (always saving dumps before modify content but now it was happen it self).

Second proof is VIN provided by JONNY R, its completely different so security code will be wrong as well :(

VIN is YS3FD455041045774

Now the question is:
Is there any chance to restore correct CIM dump to start the car?
Definitely I need to get a right PIN. Where can be else stored?
Dash, Twice module??
If the right VIN and PIN will be in stored in 93cl66a car will start??

you made a stupid mistake when you didn?t save original data .... so , you can find pin almost in all modules from car e.g. dash , twice , airbag modul.
but I?m afraid you will need new transponder too.

Can someone confirm UNU that new transponder is needed??
Data stored in transponder was changed as well??

I don't understand what happened because this should have worked.

Can I just clarify what you did to get it clear.
Original Cim had Steering angle sensor problem. You removed it, got a replacement one, swapped the EEPs? Or did you swap dumps? Is that all correct?

sherl645 , yes I swapped EEPs from original to replacement one, fit to the car but didnt start so I swapped back EEP to original and doesnt work as well. Car 15min before all operations was starting no problem. Then I read EEP to see what the story and realize that VIN is incorect!! Dont know how it was happened, system changed VIN itself so its mean PIN is incorect as well.
Propably replacement CIM wasnt reseted before and make a messy with my EEP. Didnt know that will happen.
Now I want back to life my original CIM bc im 100% sure it was working and ESP problem could be fix in other way by checking solder pionts (80% that's the main problem)
So Im just wonder now how bad is my original EPP now, what data was changed, if I put right VIN and PIN that will help me?? What u think.

I have read as well replacement CIM EEP, can some one check VIN and PIN for this dump, please.

Download CIM_saab_drugi.bin for free on Filesonic.com (http://www.filesonic.com/file/1290574554/CIM_saab_drugi.bin)

I know if I want to replaced CIM module I need to know PIN for this part and CIM need to be resseted with old car to fit in new one. I just discovered all this thing to late :(
How to start this car now....... ??
