octavia 2 1.9tdi edc16 intermittent comms/start

have a 2005 octavia 1.9tdi which when doesn't start i have no comms with edc16 apart from ecu id,all power supplies are good so it appears to be an ecu internal fault.
this happens if its hot or cold so don't feel its the hot start issue.
ecu no is 03G 906 016 DJ

I have same fault,with 2005 golf 5 this have checksum problem in flash.Wath is dtc in ABS modul?

I have 3 faults in ABS
0312-Powertrain data bus
-014 defective-intermittent

0314 engine control module
013-check dtc memory-intermittent

0314 engine control module
004-no signal/communication

HI!
You have problem with software in flash! Try to starting two or three time shortly, you see will starting good! In this case the ecu will increases the starting volume of diesel oil!

this will start on average about every 10th attempt on the key,
once you can hear the fuel pump kick in it starts and communication is restored.

This is edc16 u1 ? Have you ecu flasher.Can you upload flash file from ecu?

yes it is edc16u1 and i tried reading flash with k+can but didn't work for me so i got a used ecu and this solved my problem,i hope to buy a good flash reader soon and when i do i'll post the dump so i can reuse this ecu again,
