i think you need to start from the begining here
firstly what year is it , is it a seperate pats box or integrated into the ecu or dash because the older ones can be a bit tempremental by reading the tms 370c702 chip you can either create a new key or write one in or if its in the dash read the 9s12 post the dump and il give you the key data, there is a seperate ecu on around 2002 at the side of the engine on some with either a 95040 or 95080

what have you tried to programme keys with it should go in uinder pats 3 can outcode incodeor under mazda 2 this is the same system i have used in the past when it wont communicate under ford pats 3 can,

Immo off solution for all M8,just programme three files one in dash 9s12 and 2 files in ecu 93c56 and 44 pin amd ic and just pull out the socket of immo near steering lock thats all
