Just a quick observation, i thought the new glitch free HD tuner was an 801A, tthink 401A is the old one but i might be wrong.

These are not as good as the Rev M 801A even though they are Rev M Tuners.
Like Owen said the M Rev 801A stops the glitch in HD Channels.
Wonder if this is the reason they are being sold.

Andy,

2 tuners and a motherboard for under ?40 pretty obvious why they are being sold. Isn't the 401A the L3 tuner?

there are a couple of mods that can be done on these tuners to stop them glitching, such as adding a capacitor to one of the pins. No one knows about the mother board then.

That mobo looks like my Ferrari dm800 mobo from last year. No fan on the broadcom chip

it also looks very much like the board in my
original 800hd the tuner you have has a different number
mine is ALPS BSBE2-401A 852711G MADE IN JAPAN
also if you turn it over it will tell you what rev it is
near the lnb ports [mine is HIG003 REV-K]
and the original was'nt fitted with a fan

Fitted the motherboard (Picture post 1) today. Worked straight away and very stable Tried the tuners plus the one from my original box. The 2 that came with the mobo not recognised the other ok. did a scan on 28.2 and scanned a thosand services. tried a couple of channels and all seamed ok. So I have now fitted some better quality heatsinks on the processor. Only thing now is it dont drive the motor to other sats. (Sat Settings are set to my lat/long).
Is this a tuner or mobo issue. Would be good to get this sorted and have as a spare! Any ideas? If it is the tuner I will buy another one.
Also if anyone is interested I have 2 sim 1 cards available for swap for a more recent one if anybody requires them for testing purposes. PM me!
