did you try to reset it on system 2 i have the toyota smart maker aswell and it worked perfect for me about 1 month ago it took me 30 mins to programme 2 new remotes

i had same problem but on a ls430 what you need to do is very simple clear immo with t300 insert new key self programming very easy !!! i had wrong transponder first and car was never program when i order new key from lexus segwells car was start right away after clear immo with t300 all data stay inside steering lock module !!

when you try to reset the car
does it start counting
or it show comenication failed ??

Just have the right smart keys to program into the car no worries it works with mvp pro. If you use any other smart key like for the same car but 2008 model it wont work. Just reset it once in type 1 or 2 and program new keys.
