sony viaio blue screen error

hello people i have a sony vaio my op sys is xp and i am using servis pack two i have had this error a few times now and it is switching my comp off a lot is this error a virus the code is stop 0x000000d1(0x0004f270,0x00000002,0x00000000,0xf805 7a68

win2251.sys-address f8057a68 base at f8033000. datestamp 404c5c4c

Turn on your laptop press F8 as its booting up and boot into safe mode and run a virus scan remove any recently installed drivers\software that may be causing the blue screen . Once this is done run CHKDSK How to perform disk error checking in Windows XP (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/315265) on your C drive. If all that fails download and run software called PC Check. PC Check will scan all your hardware and let you know if its a hardware fault.
