Sorry can't find the answer, so hopefully somebody will be able to help.
We have a R4i 1.4.1 card which have been using for the normal ds. Now we have a 3ds, but of course none of the old games on the card will work on it.
Is there a firmware that will make the r4i 1.4.1 work on the 3ds (not 3ds games but all the old roms that are already on it) or do I need a new card to make them work?
Thanks in advance.

i doubt it, some cards can be updated to work with 3ds, depends which card it is, what is the web addy on the card?

web addy on card is
R4i SDHC Revolution for NDSi/NDSL/NDS (http://www.r4i-sdhc.com)
If it is one that won't work on the 3ds, if I bought a r4 3ds card will that work? Even just to play ordinary ds games? Or just keep the old ds and play the ds roms on that?
Thanks barrowman, can always rely on you for a knowledgeable answer.

Sorry, me again :stupid:
Could you tell me what card will work on a 3ds, not for actual 3ds games, but for the ordinary roms, just so can use it on the 3ds and not keep switching consoles.
Don't know whether to buy a new one or just sit and wait for them to sort it all out. We do have a spare R4 card that is loaded with Woods firmware, but don't know if that would work either.

you r4 wont work on dsi or 3ds, they are for dslite.
there are loads of cards which work on 3ds now.
i use acekards as they are well supported and easy to use.
Acekard 2i 3DS | Acekard 3DS | AK2i 3DS | AK 3DS | Buy Acekard 2i 1.4.1 | Acekard 2 i | Ace kard | Acekard 2i Firmware (http://www.r4i-gold.co.uk/-acekard-2i_c800)
