you can try mems 3 free run, find on DK, search mems 3 and you will find, but dont think work on this one (but never tried)

Interesting, so no immo off for R75 MEMS 3 petrol? I wonder what's different hardware wise between them and the 25/45? I know the diesel is a BMW unit so BMW ECU, but I'm genuinely surprised that the 75 has EWS with MEMS...

Maybe time to sit down with RAVE and work it all out!

I'm guessing the Flash 29F has some extra protection written in, I think some guys have tried using standard 29F flash bins.

Does anyone have a good clear picture of a MEMS3 board from a Rover 75 with EWS ?

Notice it is for automatic .I do not know if manual ecu is the same .
If you look at photo there is some more chips installed ( left hand side just above flash than on the Mg 1.8 ecu NNN000160)

That looks pretty much identical to the 5AS MEMS 3 I have sat here. I guess flashing over the PSOP with an ori from a 5AS car would be an interesting project. I have a 75 1.8t ECU in my workshop that I think is going to get played with :D

I have used my file many times "here on DK" for Pectron on MG models, but not Rover 75, Not even sure if 75 uses Pectron.

I'm sure if we put our heads together this is possible.
I have a breakers near by, So if we can ID a good match "ENGINE TYPE" from another Rover model using MEMS3 I will keep my eyes open

got befor probleme with this car75 with ecu motorola , never succeced on immo off , just programme transponder from ews the easiest way .

all rover 75 & MG ZT use ews, regardless of engine/ecu type.
But only 1.8 uses mems 3 ecu, diesel uses bosch and the v6 ones use a siemens ecu.

flash is defo different.

I done a 1.1 to a 1.8 conversion in a rover 25 for my bro, but ran like bag of sh!t.

Read a 1.8 rover 45 flash with galletto and shoved it in to my bro's ecu.
RESULT: FAST AS FCUK!!

He wrote it off last week so have it in my garage now, ill read with galletto then rip the back off and read epp.

got a vvc eep dump to hand if any good.

Nah, what I want is a 1.8 normal flash versus a 1.8 flash from a 75; for what it's worth, I was always told that the 75 MEMS wouldn't work outside of the car transplant style as it had to be coupled to the BCU.

Admitedly, this was on a Rover tech forum ( ;) ) where they mainly know shit...

I want to off a 1.8T ecu and try that out in a conversion; if the flashes are the same, then hopefully it's just a case of shoving in a whole non 75 eep?

ok, im on the case, but i dont have a 75 mems 3 ecu to hand, but ill go get one.

Have you looked on autodata for pin out differences between the 75 and 25 ecu's?

Ill take a look tomorow if i get time and if there is not a lot of difference, then maybee immo off will work?

Has any one actually tried the immo off on a 75, or is it just speculation that it wont work?
