Let me send you a pic, its an easy interface to build. As soon as I get home I'll get a snapshot over, basically its just a USB cable with the VW RVC connector that plugs into the RNS on the end. I also coded the original disc that does VIM, you just pop in the CD and it enables it for you. But this will let you change pin, serial, logo, etc.

Like as USB Kline on FT232RL,but not quite sure(may be TTL level).
It would be necessary to know pins in the plug .
If you use this device please tell which driver it uses.
Post here VID and PID from virtual COM port.
