hi

i have had mvp clone for 2 months, all work fine untill i used nissan adaptor on old nissan micra. I think it was wired wrong from china, it didnt work (other machine not mvp worked) ever since then my mvp will not communicate with any car. It will turn on, go through menus etc, but fails with trying to communicate.

Any idea how to fix this? nothing looks blown inside.

Thank You

Edit - i just looked, i think they have +12 and gnd the wrong way round in adaptor. What would blow in the unit??? DO NOT USE 14 PIN NISSAN ADAPTOR!!!!!

Hi m8 sorry about what happened to you
Can you show as what they did wrong so ppl here can fix three plugs.
personal opinion always use original equipment on early years of Nissan or Acura they are very `sensitive`

Hi mate just a long shot look at all the diodes around the board where the plus and minus entered the wrong way round .
Check any diodes for short circuit.
(lift from board to check).
there maybe a protection diode fitted but dont bank on it .

you need open and check if are there anything wrong . you need test, mvp work with 9v , if you put in 12v , you problably burned some diode, (vw,fiat, ford, opel) did you work with this brands?
