Renault Clio 1999 Instrument light issues

Hi folks

Have a 1999 Renault Clio Initiale automatic.

When you turn the headlights on. The dash lights do come on in the instrument cluster. Although as you start to drive they begin to flicker and even cut out. When I unplugged both headlights and plugged them back in problem stopped for 4 days then came back. I unplugged the rear lights and did stop the flicker only the front headlight assembly.

Can anyone help me with this?

earth connection u solve it with 5 litres petrol :laugh:

Ill check my insurance policy and see if the excess is worth more than the car! :)
