Hi,
I have a problem that car. Car don't start, don't crank. I insert the card and push the start button, some moments later display shows: board error, and the immo led to light. The engin ecu main relay don't switch on. The dashboard 1 fault: 37891
What can I do? I replace the uch or dashboard?
Which device stored the immo code?
Sorry for my english.
Thank you any advice.

read the live data with CLiP and /or read the DEF section of the fault code displayed.
The card reader is not coded to the car
The Card data is read by the reader and verified in the UCH before start is authorised.

(it is most likely that the card is faulty, especially if it rattles when shaken )

Hi,
Another card is the same, the wheel lock is working, and the dashboard show the oil check and other control. I read the dashboard, fault p37891. I push the start button : board error.
Any advice? Thank you.

Hi,
I see the card reader, is working. I check the engine ecu, is working. I check the cable and fuse board, is working.
Anybody help me? Thanks.

the steering lock motor is a common fault on megane II when no start, put another to try, but beware it's a coded unit, remove old 24C04 and put it in the one you want to try it. BR.

Hi,
THanks. The steering lock is working. When I insert the card, is to open.
Maybe the dashboard is wrong?
Any advice?

Hi,
I have a question. The ecu main relay is always closed when I insert the card and push the button or not? Because the main relay not working that car. Immo is ok I see with clip.
Thank you.

if you insert the card to unlock the steering and turn on the ignition then power the starter by jump wire will it start?
Could it be a bad earth when the starter is called for by the UCH losing CAN comms and setting immo?

Hi,
The problem is ecu. I think the ecu power switch on two steps.
First the processor, and if everything is ok the second step the ecu inverter inside the ecu.
No communication between ecu and uch. The can cable ok.
How can I replace the ecu?
Thank you.

Hi,
I am not sure about the " board error " message as it is something I have never come accross in English. I am wondering if it translates to " Communication error " ?

Start by checking the 2 fuses each side of the battery poss terminal. They get damaged with using jump leads.

Then check you have a supply to the obd socket.

Check you pos and neg at the ecu plugs make sure they are all there.

If the ecu has no communication Clip should tell you which cable is dead on the multiplex network test. Then look up on the wiring diagram.

90% of faults on French shit is wiring faults, check loom between ecu and underbonnet fuse box

Hi,
I checked all wires and checked all fuses. I diagnosed with clip:
Wrong device on the multiplex network (ecu).
I measured the ecu voltage:
- C d1 correkt (processor voltage)
- C g1 missing (inverter voltage, inside the ecu)
I measured the processor voltage inside the ecu (3,3V), missing.
Thank you.

Hi,
Make sure the battery is charged.
Then go into ecu parameters with clip.
Check the ecu voltage there. If ecu at fault reads = under battery voltage.
eg battery voltage 12.48 parameters with clip = ecu voltage 11.89
If clip reads battery voltage at ecu then ecu ok.
If clip reads less than 12.00 then ecu blown

Hi,
I can't communication ecu. Other device are ok (abs, uch, ect.) I measured 12,68V battery voltage.
Thank you.

check the card reader switches, you have one it is not working !

Hi,
If you can get a used ecu it should communicate with clip unless its a wiring fault.
The car will not start but it will point you in the right direction.
If ecu talkes to clip you then re-set rolling code for immo. If not talk to clip you have wiring fault
