I make 5 volvo`s a day, here is a dash programmed in Romanian.

I clone ECM`s, CEM`s and other volvo computers .

For dash i use UPA and XPROG, next week i will receive Smok dash for Volvo. I hope is better than UPA, i hate calibrating the dash needles .

That`s why I bought Smok dash, it`s easier by OBD .

I make 5 volvo cars a day not volvo dashes, i repair other components on volvo cars not only program dashes .

Hi
The language in dash is possible , read translate (or copy paste from dash with right language) and write back into MCU.
Only problem is radio, climatecontrol etc. its not changing with dash, so have to find a way to do that.
Have to look witch mcu is in there read it and find language package. (or something like that)

Or: buy a month full volvo software , find out how they at volvo do it, I know the language package what u get from volvo is very small (kb's)

You can switch radio, CCM, BCM and other components, all you need is to copy/clone the eeprom. The eeprom store the ID off every component .

I did change the 93C56 on a ecu (s60 2002) that worked, it's the one thats the farest away from connector (part that goes into the car).
next time i will try to clone it.

Next week i get a V70 from 2009 witch i can keep for experiments (few weeks) I will try to find the mcu where the language is stored in the radio/climate control.

Did someone try to clone the rearmirror ? I did read the flash did not write it into another rearmirror yet,

At my husbands work they had to replace for sometime one, they cost a lot of $ !!

We took out the middle console and opend it There are 2 MCU's inside one located on the big print behind the button area, and one on a little print witch is located behind the display the MCU's are:
SAC7116VPV50-L38Y-QFR0821
MAC7111VPV50-L47W-QXM0809
When i can find a programmer who can read these mcu's I let u know if language is inside,
Then we have to search for the path from OBD to this mcu......

When somebody knows witch programmer we have to buy , please let me know :-)

MAC7111 programmer.
P&E Microcomputer Systems - Cyclone MAX - Hardware Debug Interface and Stand-Alone Programmer for <b>ColdFire V2/V3/V4</b>, <b>Power MPC5xx/8xx, Qorivva MPC55xx/56xx</b>, and <b>ARM</b>. - ColdFire V2/V3/V4, Power MPC5xx/8xx, Mac7xxx, Qorivva MPC55xx (http://www.pemicro.com/products/product_viewDetails.cfm?product_id=145&CFID=6658007&CFTOKEN=2f3e173228086379-6DB5DD66-D4EA-E2B4-97DD8AFD819F8CA2)

I don`t think that the language is in ICM. The language is allways in DIM and can be in CEM for new models .

Where did u find the info that the language package diplayed at the ICM is in the chip of the CEM ?
Would interesting to know ,We have to open the CEM to to see which MCU is in there.
Or does somebody know which MCU is inside de CEM .
They language which is in the DIM does not cover the ICM ( volume, climate control texts ) We looked at the flash of the DIM very carefully , not there.

I see cyclone-max can handle a lot of chips :-)
