VCDS +USB Cable for an Audi

Can anyone help me select a VCDS Software +USB Cable for an Audi A4.
I am worried by all the negative comments surrounding fakes and software that does not work. I need as much help as possible please

If you want cheap, go to that link and dload the VCDS Lite, which is free. And then go to ebay and get a cheap generic USB cable, like this one

Of course, this is assuming you have an older A4....if you have a CANBUS, you need something different.

OK thanks , I have now bought a cable from a ross distributor.
I have the VAG.COM 409-1 software, and a good laptop. Will that be ok or will I need something else
