does the launch x431 need a smartbox to run?
and can you buy just the smartbox?
iv just bought a main box with nothing else with it.

Yes, it needs a smart box. You can purchase it seperately, furthermor you?ll need main cableand connectors. If you only deal with obd2, then get the super 16, otherwise you'll have to pay more in connectors than in the main unit.. What model exactly is your X 431?
