Lookout is free and good it doesn't run continually in the background but scans every app as soon as it's installed

I'm using Lookout Security & Anti Virus and it turned out 2be great in performance and memory saving! It's free and you can just download it from the market.

Not all Android Antivirus software is effective, read the link and stick to the better ones.

Hope this helps.

I use lookout not only does it do anti virus but the free version also backups and restores your call logs and contacts to your exisiting phone, locates your phone in the event of loss or if it's stolen.

If you pay for premium ($30 per year for upto 2 phones) then you can remotely wipe and lock your phone if you loose it and backup pictures.
Block phishing and malicious web sites.
Protect your privacy and identity.
Backup and restore data from your old phone to a new one.

Thanks for tip...

I have just become an android owner again, I didn't want a touch screen without a full size keyboard, there are only two models as far as I am aware that run android and fit the bill

Desire-z, although wasn't manufactured for very long due to several problems with the handset

Xperia Pro - Alway was a SE phone fanboi anyway :)

Guess you missed the htc cha-cha.

Personally I wouldn't touch an SE phone. Slow, cumbersome & loads of software issues.
