I bought a dsi last year for christmas for my son and got an r4i v1.4.1. Everything worked until my son broke the "R" button and I had to send it away. They return me a new DSI with a new system: ver 1.4.3U, since that time i am unable to read the card, everytime that i insert the card it's telling me that an error has occured and that i need to turn off the system and check the manual. I contacted the team of R4i sdhc.com and told them my problem and they answered me with wait until the new kernel is available, i did and now it's available i still can't do anything with it. i would like to know if i need to buy a new card or is there a way to pass that message?

Please let me know

i don't know which card you have but you will not be able to update the card on your now console,
you will need to borrow a dslite or dsi running 1.4.1 or below to update card.....

Well, what kind of a r4i card do you have?If your card is r4i gold 3ds card and you can update your card to support the DSi v1.4.3,and when you update your card to support the DSi v1.4.3,there is still an errror, you need to download a new patch fix your r4i 3ds card to run on the dsi new firmware. Here is the download address.
Digital Kaos - Downloads - DSi V1.43 Patch for R4i Gold 3DS V1.33 (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/ds/21/dsi-v1-43-patch-r4i-gold-3ds-v1-33-1736/)

the card that i have is the R4i upgrade revolution for ds v 1.4.1 from sdhc. it came in the red box. according to the tech guy from sdhc, i can't do anything because it's a newer version on my dsi,

you see some cards can be updated to work on the consoles running newer firmware.

if the manufacturer says it cant be updated, then your stuck m8..

you cannot roll back the dsi to an earlier firmware or anything like that

ive posted this a few times to help folks m8 put the latest kernel on ya sd as ya normally would and stick it in and old ds, go to config option and then update the r4 card then its should work in your new one

good luck
