I am trying to set up a transmittal form using Microsoft access.
Within it I have typical fields such as the project, job number, date issued..... and so on.
Then I want to have two tables one that will hold 3 columns (Recipient, Reason for Issue, No of Copies) and the other table with 4 columns (Document No, Sheet No, Revision and Document Title)
The problem I am having is the tables I have added slightly cut off the data in the first columns, also when I start a new record the data is still in the fields.
Also I have two fields one called Job number the other called Transmittal number. I would like for the Transmittal number to automatically number it with the Job number followed by a unique number for instance Job Number: A4/11/050 transmittal unique number: 001. So that it produces a transmittal number A4/11/050-001, then the unique number will go up 1 for every new record.
Any help is much appreciated, I have not used Access in years.
