I would never install such a thing on a car but, hey, this is only my opinion.

This is a box for very old TDIs with VP37-Pump...
on this models a chiptuning is every time the better way because you can also adjust boost and start-of-injection!
But on very new models where chiptuning is (at this time) not possible - because no tool can read/write or checksum-correction is not available - a good box is the only way of getting power!
But the most cheap boxes only modify the rail-pressure-sensor-output, so the ecu sees a lower railpressure as it is in reality, and therefore it raises the pressure to its "desired" value - and the pressure will raise about 50-100 or even more bar. And because the injection-time stays the same it leads to more injected fuel and more power!
But this can be very dangerous! The Commonrail-pump can be damaged and the exhaust-gas-temperature raises (can damage turbocharger), the smoke raises (the particle-filter can be damaged) and a lot of more...
So if chiptuning is possible it is always the best way to do tuning the right way and not with a box!
