Hi Guys!

On Monday I'll have to remove the DPF from a Ford Focus II. 1.6 TDCI.

Could you please tell me what's involved other that the pretty obvious remove the DPF physically"?

I will have to read out a dump from the ECU, but which one? Is this info stored in the flash memory, like a AM29F400BT or such?

Would I be OK with EEPROM programmers, as I do not have Galletto or such....

And if the dump is given, just use ECUsafe, and let it remove the DPF function?

And after? Should I remove sensors, or do something else?

Sorry for asking too many questions, but I've never done a DPF removal before and I think it's better to ask :)

Regards,

Tibi

Ecusafe - not work. Winols - work super - DPF off 100%. I made 2 ford 1.6TDCI.
It is necessary to disconnect a black box under the back we correct sitting, and it is possible to disconnect the gage of a difference of pressure (to which there are tubules).

Thanks for the info!

Could I use an EEPROM reader to read out the flash content, or would I have to read out something else?

Only flash. BDM100, MPPS, KESS-clone(wery good)

so, can't I do this, by simply desoldering the flash memory from the ECU and then reading it out? - don't want to buy an other interface again!...

Okay, the car is here!

I had a quick look around, and it seems like I could get the following tools here:

-Galetto
-MPPS
-BDM 100

Could the Galetto do this job? - as that would be the easiest to source, and I could buy one today - for the other I would have to wait!

BDM 100 confirmed to work with this car! - I would get one immediately, but with this I could only read the new cars which use that new type Motorola flash...

Galetto - would that work?

Probably ECU coding is gone due to reflashing via OBD.

Injector coding is not the only coding, at least that's the way it is on PSA. There is also ECU coding: type of gearbox, etc

with ford ids racalibrate ecu, read with mpps ,erase with ecusafe ,disconect fap ecu under rear seat, and do value to zero with ford ids scaner ,and works well.

hello which version you can see the DPF with WinOLS? Damos use file or a function for WinOLS DPF / FAP lets you know which points of the map file must be reset? you can also see models fiat 500 dpf with WinOLS

We make solution without needing disconecting black box or something.... all in, all work.

Done many of them.

HOLY THREAD RESURRECTION!

I managed to read the content of the ECU out with a BDM100.

Could somebody turn the DPF off from this file please?

Ecusafe not work , only manually work.1 switch solution. And no more DPF. I doubt u can get a free solution .

Ohhh I did not want a free solution! Forgot to write that! :) I appreciate the work which goes into removing a DPF.

So I'm waiting for offers please! :)
