Just install iTunes on your main computer.
Plug in your iPad and away you go.
iTunes should restore music back to pc.
Logging on to your iTunes account should let you get your downloaded music.

If your ipad music bought via iTunes that you can transfer the music back to computer. It supports all apple device included ipad. You need exchange a new hard-disk drive, and sync music files again.
Besides what mentioned above, you also refer this article about how to transer or sync iPad contents to PC (http://www.softwarebbs.com/wiki/How_to_transer_or_sync_iPad_contents_to_PC).

1.Reinstall your system and your iTunes library, or just get your music, videos and photos off your iPod, and save them to your computer
2.Back up all of your music, playlists, videos and photos from iPod to a new computer.
3.Share your iPod contents with a friend.
4.Restore your songs, movies, and photographs from your iPod if you'tve lost your iTunes music library during a system crash.
If it still can't work, you may refer to the articles

Thee ar a few applications that make life much easier. I use Apple computer but the equivalent of these exist on PCs. Applications like PhoneView and iExplorer show the content of your iPad, iPhone, iPodTouch. You simply copy anything you want from the device to your computer. Just like a USB key.
However, you can upload to movies, music, etc to your idevice through the same technic but not what has been synced in iTunes. For instance, if you have an application like CineXplayer, GPlayer, Yxplaye, ... on your iPad, you can put movies and music in it and play them. These applications do not go in iTunes music library and are independent.
