View Full Version : radio decoding in general

I know this isn't the right place to put this but.... I have seen recently a split between factions on this forum. Those who feel helping for free is good and those who want to guard information.

There are more people now capable of learning how to decode radios and ECUs than ever before because of availability of information. This forum is only a drop in that ocean.

When the first code calculators appeared on ebay for less than the cost of a night out that was the time to worry. Not now.

Things are changing dramatically in this business and it is a case of adapt or fade away. Soon there may be no coded radios at all, in the form we see them. Surely it is this change that everyone needs to anticipate and get ready for.

Oh yes, some members, are unable to assist in radio coding, milage IN-correction, but are able to assist in other ways.

It's not who you know, or what you know, it's what websites you hang around late at night.

And some come into forums to steal information, as they write decoding software for there brand of hardware and put it out to there customer saying they cracked the algo of the radio, that's really bad practice and it's happening all over.

As Alexics says yes there will be time when radios will not have immo or codes, it's the people doing this should think they are kicking there own livelihood seriously need to think as recently I have seen the 2011 calgen on fleebay for 99p with guarantee if it can decode you get money back this is crazy, people in this trade should seriously think about it now not later.

We seem to have quite a tight knit community here, i know all about the newbie leachers, but how do you distinguish between a 'real' newbie and a pr1ck just after info??
We were all newbies once, and i must admit that i have learned more from this forum in a short time than anywhere else.
If you dont want to share your knowledge, then dont be here.
the show must go on.....................

My problem is not with newbie leachers, but with Pr1cks as you quoted they are the problem they take other people's hard work and pass it on as there's and make money out of that.

Could you clafiry, confirm or deny as required if "The Real Total Decodes" have anything to do with suing a member of DK for allegedly selling copywrited material?

Perhaps you would be better off editing the link in your first post, as you seem to be advertising your company - or some dead mans company - if that is true or not, please confirm?

You know what they say if the cap fits wear it!

I now use the best system on the market for those of you who want to decode the latest set's before they are in the scrap yards get the latest Martech it's Brilllllll

For those who just want the code for your unit , "take it to the proffesionals" and then you won't end up destroying your unit by using corrupt files due to incorrect data.

Isn't it true you have a direct connection to the UK distributor of the Martech Clip? I thought direct advertising was not allowed on this forum.

It was just a rumor going around, NOT confirmed.

Word on street says, that there is some bloke in Scotland, who is useless, is been sued by some dead bloke from essex (?).

Something about selling their software without permission, or something.

But then again, it's only a rumor going around.

But then again, a quick stalking session, comes up with several links

http://totaldecodes.blogspot.com/
http://www.elecsys.com/
http://www.rampantapathy.co.uk/index.php?target=topics&topic_id=13 http://www.a400.co.uk/forums/YaBB.pl
So maybee it's true maybee it's not, but if there any free uploads, then intreasted :dancing:

Must adimit - on one of them sites is
http://www.bluehawkelectronics.co.uk/index.php are a good bunch of guys.

We sent them 2 breeze blocks and a pan tile, they fixed them, brilliant

Going now before get an inbox full of death threats

*CONFUSED* it's brillant being able to pop out side your front door
and get whatever infor you need from "the word on the street"

It's great when there a "rumor going around".
Even a smelly tramp for info, but it seems this thread is a little mixed up, on who is who, and what is what.

So what is the word on the street from your end?

What's in a name? That which we call a rose
By any other name would smell as sweet.
Romeo and Juliet

But we are digressing from the original subject of this thread which was "radio decoding in general" so maybe the real slim shady will stay sitting down and just getting on with the things that are important.
