Didnt work. Car starts then cuts out. Do I have to disconnect anything going to ecu. Dash in car is knackered but need to get car running to get to work hence why im trying to disable immo in ecu.

not having much luck, mechanic with fat fingers lol. broke a leg off the eprom goin to av to order some now. will any 24c02 do the job?

cheers got some coming off ebay. 1 other thing how do I know if the original dump I made is ok and not corupt. Is there a way of knowing? Dont want to be wasting everyones time trying to help me if dump is no good.

Im the mechanic if you didnt know lol. used to be good at this sort of stuff (ps1 and ps2 chipping days) not done anything for ages

I not use any program for it, have dumps base and make new, from original.

Got some new 24c02 today. where is the best place to buy a soic clip or socket 4 these cos at the min im having to solder wires to the legs which is time consuming plus more chance of breaking a leg again.

Min2xx (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/members/79739-min2xx/) your first dump worked didnt check the second dump. Didnt try your dump tiguan cos it looked the same as the 1 I made with immo tool that never worked but thanks anyway. Big Thanks guys for the help. Now to fix the dash. Got no speedo,rev counter,fuel and temp gauges. When it broke down my m8 had it. He was with the aa so got them out to recover it. The aa bloke plugged something in the obd and it reset the miles back to zero. Any ideas?
