Hello Members. I have an after treatment issue on a Cummins isb euro5 engine. The fault code is 2772(active).It's got something to do with the nOX sensor. I washed out all the after treatment hoses and pump. Replaced the nOX sensor I replaced the OEM harness and Cummins updated the ecu software but the fault stays active. We took the truck for a long drive fault still active.Cummins don't no what to do any more. I have a customer that bought 30 trucks with this engine in and all of the trucks have intermittent issues with the after treatment. Does any other country have the same problem with this engine.

New Euro Calibrations with Changes to Optimize the NOx Monitor
Warranty Statement
The information in this document has no effect on present warranty coverage or repair practices, nor does it authorize TRP or Campaign actions.
Contents
The NOx monitor has been optimized on the calibrations listed in the table below.

The changes are designed to address the potential for false flagging of Fault Code 2772 (Aftertreatment Outlet NOx - Data Valid But Above Normal Operating Range - Least Severe Level) in certain circumstances.

Should this fault code be encountered in the field, the present published troubleshooting steps should be followed in the normal manner.

The calibrations revised are detailed in the table below.

Hello. Have you come across the same fault before.

many of the problems there are with cummins dpf-egr are solved by a recalibration of the ECM
I fixed some small problems like this, according to my limited experience

Post your engine serial # and I'll post back the troubleshooting steps right from Cummins. You are probably missing something.

Hello drizzt4321. The engine serial No: 2196 7310 The last ECUup date it had was X02B28.00

The first thing you need to do is get a production ECM calibration into the ECM. the X of that calibration code denotes it is not a released code.
According to Cummins own rules "X" calibration codes are only to be used in a factory environment or an authorized field trial.
If this was an authorized field trial, your customer would know about it, he would have signed the contract, your distributor would also know about it and have factory support.
Your Cummins distributor should have only recalibrated with an X code with proper authorization from the factory and the customer, which would make me think that they are in contact with the factory engineers, keep on their case.
If they just put that code in the ECM without any approval, get them to get their factory DFSE involved.

Seriously, there is currently no cure to this solution. In my country we are using ISBe4 and ISLe4 engines, every single engine encounters SCR issues, 1682, 2772, 2773, 1694, ..etc you name it you get it.

Normally after resolving the issue, you will need to run the High Nox reset test, but that test is not very practical. A recalibration **usually** solves it, but the problem may reoccur again. Sad to say, but just live with it.

good to hear that, hopefully your truck will not encounter the same/related Aftertreatment faults again. We are going crazy over doser pump failures here.

Have had some nox sensor codes and found that the dpf filter has cracked and damaged the scr catalyst causing the outlet nox sensor reading to be incorrect or shown as a fault. Most problems are fixed by installing the latest flash files though.
