View Full Version : YELLOW LEAVES ON TOMATO PLANT

i plant my tomato plants outdoor in grow bags . and for the last two years from the bottom of the plant after about six weeks the leaves start to go yellow then fall off' i do get some crop but not a lot' have sprayed plants but to no avail any help woud be appreciated .

might be magnesium defiency but lower branches are usually removed as been now useless and lets lower trusses ripen,at this time should be up to forth truss starting to develope

are you pinching out the side shoots and feeding them regularly?

also how many plants have you got per grow bag? i wouldn't recommend any more than two if you want a decent crop :)

i presume he is growing the upright variety,like money maker ,correct all side shoots need removing unless it is a cherry bush tomato as you leave them on,tom thump.sunrise etc.

and dont forget tommies need feeding every 2 weeks or so, not seen owt mentioned bout this.

every second watering you feed,hungry buggers tomatoes,2 weeks you would have flip all tomatoes lol,you have to make sure there not waterlogged also.

well at least i did get a few trophies years ago for plants and veg,yes they need around a gallon per plant a day.

water from a outside tap left in water can to climatise
