how to get onto bios on computer windows xp

got a windows xp proffessional need to get into bios to boot from cd to retrieve password ///computer locked cant get in due to box on screen wanting username and password all help appreiceitedthanks:wink:

on boot up press either f2 or f10

It all depends what model you have either that or look for a program that will reset all bios something like Killcmos
