Any ideas on how to protect dyno computer s.

Some bikes after performing wot runs will shut down and blue screen the computer .

The computer lies flat on the floor a few feet from the dyno so its not in line of site of the engines rfi noise.

I tried putting it undet the dyno where the dyno acting as an earthed rfi shied should help but it hasn't.

This is the third pc and still with ( some bikes ) its a problem .

Apparently the rfi noise separates the processor from the hard drive ( hence the freeze screen then shut down to blue screen )

If there is a bomb proof computer I'm all ears

Try fitting a solid state hard drive.

And the other thing which worked well for me is to build an earthed metal cabinet to house the PC and data logging hardware.
What dyno do you have again? Dynojet iirc??

I tried the earthed metal case and it did not Improve things. the box was earthed to the earth on a 3 pin plug .

The dyno is a dynapro 125 lc and uses usb for communication

I'd buy a solid state hard drive in that case.
