That's not one of those TMS320 modules, is it? I've never opened one up because I just use the Resetter... actually had an RSX here a couple days ago that it cleared crash data from....

I thought this is one of the modules with the Renesas H8SX MCU... Same as the ones from the 2010-11 line-up from Toyota...

ALMGAR: I don't reccoment myairbags as I know for a client he send mazda 3 airbag to them to repair it.

It wasn't working.

They didn't want to hear for refound and when he asked if he could get original crash data, they just answer that they don't offer crash data report.

Raddi is right, but which list of programmers do you know that can handle read/write the eeprom on renesas H8SX without messing the data inside?

Looks like the only solution for now is to have NEW virgin dump files and just flash the mcu with a DSK like the Renesas starter kit. Don't know what happen after the first 60 days evaluation period, it's a 550 euro tool.

I called MYAIRBAGS today morning.... they said that the RENESAS fix is not for everyone at this time ... ????.

Because it is an expensive fix, they are fixing modules for just a "few" customers now. I have to wait FEW MONTHS !!! The fine print is... It's ALL BULLS#IT.... instead they say that they can not do it they came up with this lame excuse.

If you can do the job for "some customers"///you can do it for all of us. He don't even tell me how much a expensive repair is..... BS !!!!

I'm 100% agree with you... I do my own S#!t since few years now, time ago I did just sent to them a GM module (old ones ). Because they promote themself as a large, very literated and experienced business, I tought that they already has invested $$$ developing a solution for the renasas job. I was very surprissed with the explanation he gave me....as I ended up next morning thinking that "my money" isn't good enough for them. He called me "a ONE TIME CUSTOMER":bawling:..., instead other "large" customers have all the blessings and cheers.!! :party:. Myairbags....:toilet: and then....:beheaded:

this is the solution,, but some module are not expensive u can get it for $120.00 in us.. toyotas,, new dealer..

It's true... Today I bought one for the 2010 Lexus H250ls (hybrid) and the total wholesale price was $168.- Maybe they just start thinking right... Before, they overpriced their modules, forcing this business growing up every day..

If they just drop the prices,,, then there is no worth profit after all the time developing a solution and having all the shiny new programmers... Anyways...I will still looking for this solution... because I do not feel good when sombody slam the door on my face!!! :stickyman:
