Anyone know how to remove a name from a jersey. Just payed nearly ?100 to get my son a Everton top with Arteta on. Tried to persuade him to get his own name as you never know who's leaving but to no evail. Now Arteta has left is it possible to remove the name and have another put there. Heard things like hairdryer's and brake cleaner but any advise would be great besides dying the top red and supporting Arsenal cheers. It was the whole kit i bought.

First of all.... ?100?!?!?!?
oh dear. should have put your foot down and made him wait until today to buy a shirt lol
your options are....
1. try to remove the letters and knacker the shirt.
2. buy a new shirt
3. live with it and with whatever 'labels' are thrown at him by fellow school friends
4. change your family name to arteta

another option.. get the sports shop to add an ''F'' at the beginning, then your lad is no longer wearing the wrong shirt, he is instead making a statement on the loyalty of players and the way big money has ruined our games and the medias bias of the big 4

its not the shops fault he ~~~~ed off.
another option - buy an arsenal shirt, cut the badge off and sew it over the top of the everton badge

It could be looked on as one of lifes lessons for your lad. With a bit of luck he will grow up to realise it is no longer a sport where you can be proud of your team and players, as over time the majority leave to play for the competition anyway.

Seem to remember signing a disclaimer to say there's no comebacks should anyone leave. It's all done very sly as your paying and collecting reciepts for debit card If i had my way my lad would be train spotting the weekend instead of getting ripped by what is now no longer a working class relief for the weekend. I could go on all day but don't have the time but if anyone else wants to, feel free.

same thing happened to a mate of mine,[celtic shirt with mcmanus and his squad number] 2 days later celtic changed his squad number,my mate contacted celtic direct and was given a replacement top,if you bought from an official everton shop[pretty sure thats the only way to get everton tops]you could try sending of an email with your complaint,if they care about fans as much as they say it just might work.

This is the reason I refuse to buy shirts from the official sources.
I get mine from soccertriads, I have compared the shirts off them and they are identical to the real ones.
At ?20 including premier patch and name of choice if players leave then you dont lose too much money.

you can't remove heat shrink lettering, you're fcuked basically..
AVOID soccer triads and bestway4you like the plague.. terrible quality now.. Use 9 football shirts, however they have sold out of Everton shirts.. The quality is unreal ;)

take your shirt back and ask for a refund. This happened to me with a certain player who ~~~~ed off on deadline day and they me gave a full refund.
Lets face it , the markup on these kits is only comparable with crack !!!!!

Just received my Arsenal shirt from Triads, quality is same as original, have just compared it against one in JJB and only difference I can see is the XL original is slightly bigger than mine.
I have Premier league patches and name and number on back all for ?23, asked how much from JJB and they wanted ?64.99 with patches and back printing.

Also received a shirt recently from Soccertriads.com. Quality is excellent and the top is indistinguishable from the original, in my opinion.
Here are some pics of the shirt:
