CATERPILLAR C-13 QUESTIONS AND FLASH FILES

Hello everyone I an wondering if all you cat guys can help me out here. I have a C-13 engine # LEE11944 ard config code 3003700 it is set at 430 hp 1550 ftlbs torque The owner wants to go to the fire truck setting of 525hp and I am not sure it can be done the dealer told him the highest it can go is 470hp for on hwy. He is trying to get @500hp and 1650/1750ft lbs torque. Please if you can help solve this and tell me what the difference is between the firetruck and on hwy version of the engine it would be greatly appreciated also can someone find the flash files for this engine sn for the 470hp thank you all

From what I've noticed in the c12/c13 flash files, the fire truck and rv files have more HP but less tourqe. Those files are used mainly with automatic's. I have tried a couple of these with a friend and the loss of tourqe was more noticeable than any gain in HP. I do however Have a file c13 euro file that has more of both runs real strong and everyone seems to be more than satisfied with. It will put you where you want to be. Send me a pm for pass.

Does ther truck run fine without overheating and not having to change any parts ? that is the biggest worry of this customer. Does anyone know how to customize the injector trim files ? I have been told u can get good power and fuel economy gains .5 mpg possibly. Thank you

In the trucks I've used it in, I have not seen or heard of any heat issues. Never had to change any parts either, but all were higher horse to begin with. All were very happy with power, none lost mpg and had a couple gain.

mmrj question for you Does this file work with truck with a dpf on them ? Im not sure if all the C-13's had dpf or not. I was told if you use a non dpf file it will really screw up the ecm thanks again and have a good day

Yes there are c13's without dpf, probably more without than with it. No that file won't work with a dpf 13, sorry m8.

Thank you again mmrj I was looking at the size of the file and I didnt think it was a dpf file because the other ones I have are alot bigger files
