I was also going to buy a molext portable power supply is that all i need or do i need anything else or do i in fact not need all of these things for laptop flashing .Any help would be greatly appeciated as ive been given conflicting advice in the past .

I ordered this yesterday mate and was under the impression that it's all we need!

What do we need a ' molext portable power supply' for anyway?

You don't need 1 but its used to power ck3 from batteries. I flash from my laptop and use a mains lead to ck3

Just get a molex lead, they are like ?7 off ck3 or modtraders, will make life much easier.

Can it be powerd by anything else? I thought I had brought the whole kit you see so thought I diddnt need anything else!

Sure, anything with a molex power connector on it, ie pc psu, molexT or a power connector from ebay
