Hi @ all

I have beeprog+ original and adapters 68HC05BX.
It won't cloning these MCU, always an error.

I say I want program from 0 to 7FFF. so UPA can't do this :-(

What is the best tools for theses MCU ?

In waiting ! Thanks

You have had the best tool, what are the exact part no. of the original and the taget MCU's.

ok ! original part is 0F62J so it's 68HC705B16

MCU is in his adapter !

Elnec say ! bad contact pin 12
contact is good and support is new. I put it contact fluid and it's the same.

For program one new 68HC705B16CFN (0D28J) there are alway some error. Surintensity in pin 36 or 38

Testing elnec say all is good !

Can't arrive to read it via UPA. I have support of xprog with 4Mhz quartz and 18pf *2 and 10Mohm resistor with quartz.

I calibrate osc in 4000 Khz. I take 68H05B16 or 705B16 and program say:

Device not respond
Reading : 1 errors Found

In waiting thank for your help

Said in one of my post that UPA and Xprog can't help to clone these chips so forget them for a while and focusing only to Beeprog. My note below may help a bit.

1. Don't forget that you have only a change to program the eprom of any new and empty 0D28J so proceeding on every steps must be carried out very carefully!

2. 0F62J is 68HC05B16 and not 68HC705B16, Beeprog menu selection is quite sensitive so it may need to be selected properly apart from HC705B16. The whole memory size of the B16 chip is 3FFF and not 7FFF. The interested eprom locations to be cloned are from $300-$3FFF.

3.Beeprog can't separate programming of eprom and eeprom if the eeprom is needed to be programmed at the same time make sure that eeprom $100 data is not set in the secured state (or select not to programm 'Option register' in Device Operation Options). The safe way is to edit the whole eeprom data in $100-$1FF from the read dump (0F62J) to all FF and use this dump to programm 0D28J. Leaving this part to be done by Xprog or UPA after the chip has been ready with Beeprog.

MAKE SURE THE DATA IN $300-$3FFF, you have only one chance! good luck

p.s. I just now recheck with my Beeprog (with the latest SW 2.82) and found that it doesn't support HC06B16 on USB port if you do so, read 0F62J with UPA by selecting 'all memory' and import the dump to Beeprog. If reading with Xprog clone (set extended reading addresses) make so sure the reading is correct (only one chance you will have).

Thanks you Zmann for your reply !
This morning, I take Xprogm (very not stable)
So, Xprogm said that 0D62J is 68HC705B32....and I found like you in start, B16 !
Today you say it's HC05 and not HC705 ... UPA and Xprog said it's 705 ....

I just write to elnec support for explain my trouble.
Even if I select bad ref in reading, I have virgin and new part of 68HC705B16 and B32. So I try to put dump in them ! Result is failure. All is new and original !

So I want to know what is my problem ? I'll take too ETL programmer for resolve this if elnec don't have solution.

Cloning this old MCU with this tools of quality don't make any problem but I 've got some of them !!

I'll try in the middle of week what you said and report my knowledge

Your original part is 0D62J or 0F62J?, anyway I've never found in UPA doc. refering Motorola HC(7)05B,X's to their mask sets however there are some of the ways to indentify them (in therm of memory size). There are some related Motorola paper telling the relationship of HC(7)05B..and HC(7)05X..

If not by the programmer/adapter physical problem your problem on Beeprog can be you did read the HC05 chip on the HC705 menu which caused some pin error!, try LPT connecton with the proper HC05 menu.

ETL705, the same as UPA and Xprog-m, can't clone these MCU's

I confirm that my part is 0F62J

Complete ref is:
ZC99149CFN
S1105364001A
0F62J
ZZFS9532

I'll tell more when I return to my box this middle week ! I'll try all that you say and report .

Thank you
