Hello,

i wanted to install the K.EY updater V4, i have gemini, and use dcc.

so i go to var/tuxbox but no plugins...
I got only in tuxbox:
config
tuxmail
tuxtxt
scce->/usr/scce
cables.xml
satellites.xmls
scart.conf
terrestrial.xml
timezone.xml

try puting the file .so and .cfg
in var/etc

No mate, it only extracts 1 file, 15kb. Anyway, I renamed the extracted file to .ipk ftp'd it into /tmp and now it shows up in addon manager/manual install, so installed it, DB said package installed but now I cant find it anywhere in the menus lol. Any ideas?

I'll give that a try next mate, just doing an EPG grab thingie. y blue button has never worked for me tho mate, but maybe this is because there were never any ipk files in that /tmp folder?

On satellite tv you cannot say what channels you will be able to see with these keys as there are lots factors effecting the channels. What you do is update the keys with keys updater and hope for the best.

Hi,

I've download the files, FTP'd them to my DM500S, Gemini 4.6, CCcamd 2.10.

The plug-in seems to run fine, it says it has downloaded keys.

WHERE can I see these keys now they are supposedly downloaded?

unzip the file ftp the MD-Key-Updater .so and the MD-Key-Updater .cfg to /var/tuxbox/plugins
then
chmod the files to 755

right click on each file to chmod to 755

Hi thank you for the help but still no luck yet. Ok did exactly as you told me and all seems fine BUT can't see the plugin anywhere? can you please tell me what will the next step be? I am using Ccam 2.0.4 any ideas please. Just to be sure, in the Zip File there was only one file and I renamed that file to .so and .cfg ok.

most software you can right click on the file and extract it :)

I use Winrar and I run Avast as AV but when downloaded didn't get and warnings so no files where deleted by the AV I have on my computer. I just installed winzip and the zip file wont open with winzip???? so it isnt a winzip file cause it is not recpgnised by winzip!!!!

Ok I manged to download from another place and all seems working fine now. What I need to know now is this please, does this program download the keys itself or I have to get the latest keys? if so where do I get them and where do I install them? I thank you but believe me I had this dreambox for over 2 weeks now and I was sooo lost lol but now getting the hang of it with the help you guys are giving me.

never used it my self lol

or if you had the nabilosat image and your box is connected to a router you can download the latest keys via the addon manager
if you do make sure you back up your settings..

Thanks for helping out, you know when you are new to many thing to learn in a short time :) Ok I can see the keys: SoftCam Keys, Seca2, Nagra and so on. So the prog downloads the keys itself everytime you start it from Plugins. What is wrong I guess is that NO Channels are opening even with the KEYS any idea what channels are opend at the moment? Tried many well known channels but all locked up to now.

you are right, when you unzip it you get one file.
rename it in tar.gz and unzip again, and u will get the 2 files they talking about

1) Unzip the file on your PC, you will find the files MD-Key-Updater.cfg and MD-Key-Updater.so
2) Copy the files to your Dreambox:
For the DM7025 You will need to place the files with FTP or DCC into the directory /var/etc
For the 500/600/7000/7020 place the file in /var/tuxbox/plugins and chmod the files to 755

You have now the Dreambox-Keyupdater installed on your dream

At this point all you need to do is execute the plugins for the download of the keys.

To do so perform the following operations
1) Blue button
2) Plugins
3) MD-KeyUpdater V4
4) Select and press OK...

The keys files are now downloaded you have now to select your cam and restart it.



How to CHMOD

you can do this with telnet

In summary:

- Telnet to your dreambox
- Login as root (password: dreambox)
- cd /var/tuxbox/plugins
- chmod 755 MD-Key-Updater.so

hi everyone!!!

i have a dm500s clone and just flashed the latest PLi Jade3. it has cccam already installed, so i thought to give it a try to this software. the thing is that after installing dm Key Updater, my box keeps freezing - not the picture actually, but as I try to switch channel or show the menu, it won't show for some time. has this happened to any of you??? if so, how did you fix it??

the thing is that key updater searches for keys and it says it's downloading them, but when this process finishes, it doesn't show the latest update time and i still don't get any scrambled channels. can you please tell me where to test it. i've got hotbird and astra.

Didnt work for me, but I downloaded the Satangels Keys from the downloads section of DK and that works great...

There are 2 updaters in the download section, one for E1 and one for E2. The one for E2 works very well I might add.

Hi, Dm Key Updater 4- will it be perfectly suitable for clone boxes DM 800 gemini 4.5,BL.75,

Sim 2.01, Cccam 2.0.11. and even to V 2.1.4.

Some pay tv services have out-dated encryption systems , that have been hacked and are viewable with correct software and up to date keys , keys are changed on a regular basis by broadcasting provider and channels wont open till new keys are entered ,

ray1990 , inside your dreambox theres a keysfolder ,it simply updates the old ones..no card needed ,just point to the said platform ,,but as also mentioned ther are very few left to update..

All,
I am facing an issue, I was doing an update on my box and guess doing it wrong. So my box was not reacting at all.
I had to reinstall a new image plus bouquet for Sgp.
Issue now is that I do not have the required SCCE and keys for it.
I see all the channels in the list, but all locked.
Any advise where I can download it?
