Just for your info if you feel like experimenting as i have only just found this myself and don't know how reliable it is or even if it will work.
But for those of you who want to sync your music library with your Ipod, Iphone, iPad and Apple TV but don't wan't to switch back to Windows or your Mac OS to do it it appears that there is now a Linux way to do it.
There are limitations as to what is fully functional so far as can be seen on the home page here (http://www.libimobiledevice.org/). But as the project is still in development we can hope that full functionality will be achieved one day.

Here (http://linuxologist.com/apps/iphone-ipod-management-on-linux-just-got-easier/) is a link to a page with some info and a Demo video and here (http://www.libimobiledevice.org/) as above is a link to the projects home page.
I make no guarantee that it won't cause some problem because as i have said i have only just found it my self. I probably should have tried it myself first before i posted a link but i got excited.
But it does seem to give you the option to leave Windows for good, if it is iTunes syncing that is holding you back.
Time will tell.
