Hi
I want to re-flash my wii using letterbomb - I have homebrew and uloader which is realy old now.
I am on 4.3E and have tried updating but it keeps coming up with an error 32007
I have put in my mac address and created the letterbomb, stuck it on sd card and opened it on the wii, wii freezes, any idea.
I have ran bootmii to restore but rememebered that when I did a nand backup years ago homebrew was already installed so the nand contains homebrew.
Can i restore back to factory any other way? or any other idea how to run letterbomb?
Regards

download the latest homebrew channel BootMii.org (http://bootmii.org/download/) put it into your apps folder of sd card and run it through homebrew channel .
you can update uloader by pushing the home button when uloader is launched and select update

Did that, uloader still looks like the old uloader and not like the one that is in letterbomb - the reason why i wanted to run letterbomb was I believe there are alot more ios installed and just the fact that it is all newer since I did mine about 3 years go.
Can I get a standard wii firmware from anywhere so i can run it through bootmii, put back to standard and then update wii and run letterbomb?
Also, should I be able to run letterbomb even though i already have homebrew as when i try and run it wii just freezes.

Why don't you just follow the 4.3 softmod thread from after the installation of hbc after using modmii to download all the latest files

ok uloader is still supposed to look the same but it will perform better now you have updated it.
letterbomb is just an exploit to get the homebrew channel onto the wii you should update the homebrew channel from time to time and you can do that by running the hackmii installer from the homebrew channel.
i think what your wanting to do is update to 4.3 you can safely do that with this Digital Kaos - Downloads - 4.3b safe firmware updater (http://www.digital-kaos.co.uk/forums/downloads/wii/16/4-3b-safe-firmware-updater-1422/)

LetterBomb is only a HBC installer not a Loaders installer if you have uloader showing then that is the old one you installed originally.

I'm assuming you have PriiLoader installed there is an option in there to load a specific app when the Wii starts up just remove that dol.

its been a while since i uploaded it so check to make sure the updater is not inside a folder inside another folder ie when you open the apps folder you should see the updater folder when you open that you should see the files inside and not another folder

Yep all four files, uncompressed and into apps folder, as mentioned also tried it by creating a folder in apps and then putting update files in there, is it worth re-installing HBC .6? could it be version .8 thats not letting me see it?

How did you put them onto the sd and what did you extract them with. If you extracted them onto pc then drag and dropped them onto sd they don't always show up, it is better to extract them onto the sd. Also sometimes winrar does not work well with wii files (don't ask me why) cause I don't know, so if that is what you extracted them with try 7zip

If it still doesn't work extract them to the pc then copy and paste them (not drag and drop) onto sd.

There is not boot.dol or folder in Firmware-Updater_4.3b.rar as there normally is in a app folder its Firmware-Updater_4.3b.dol, Nintendo Wii.bmp, README.es.txt and README.txt. The instructions are pretty poor do you have to rename the dol to boot.dol?
I've use WinRAR for years and it works perfectly.

Got it installed - by chance actually - I like a wally went into channel manager and accidentally deleted HBC, went into MMM and the updater showed there so installed it and all updated fine.
Problem I have now is I dont have the HBC, probably a simple way of getting it back but cant think how. Still have uloader channel etc etc showing on the main wii screen

You can copy all your channels to an SD card as a backup so you don't delete them again.
The easiest way would be in install HBC only again to get the channel back I would assume?
