Hi Friends!!!

I have a BMW GS 800 F Bike,2009 model, the dash containing M35080, I changed the km, but now, the display dash is blinks,

I did a test with Diga, BMW, KM CHECK, #04 cable, with my adaptation cable,
The dash display showed EWS, NOT showed KM,
What is your opinion ???
This bike have an EWS with km ???

Ews on bmw cars is on the same adress as the dash in the bmw bikes.

but the command that requests the km's from the diga is not understood by the bike, it wont awnser.

by looking at Tachosoft ,, I think km is stored in EEPROM 35080 only and here is the address/algo

0000: 01 5C 01 5C 01 5C 01 5C 01 5C 01 5C 01 5C 01 5C
0010: 01 5C 01 5C 01 5C 01 5C 01 5C 01 5C 01 5C 01 5C
where the next bytes:
01 5C - is a mileage

did you change km onboard ??

post the dump if possible ...

I did one of these Bikes last year with the same problem ( blinking Dash)
took it to the dealer they Sync the Dash with ECU ,
and the original Miles showed up on the Dash = No more Blinking Dash,
so i stopped working on it any more , since the Bike owner was a Cheapwad, did not want to spend more $$$

I have a ECU Dump, but, I not itself as to modify them,

I could obtain the dumps by BDM100 Prog.

You would be able to help me with this?

both Dash dumps (original and modified are correct) ,, but you may try to reset the ECU and see situation changes !!

You can use NYO4 to put (0km or New km) (since you didn't try new km to the ECU too and LCM motorola memories) in the EWS + LCM ,, same selection as shown on the attached screen shot :burnout:

Use NYO4 selection as shown on the previous(screen shot) to :

1- read/modify/save dump of dash
2- read/modify/save dump of EWS (data are stored in Motorola procesor HC11EA9-mask-0D46J-PLCC52 or HC11P2 or HC11PH8)
3- read/modify/save dump of LCM (This is "light switch" ,km are stored in Motorola processor MC9S12 or HC912)
4- program new Km to all keys (should be last step)

when recalibrate all parts :
Syncronized
1) write modified dump then to mount EWS
2) write modified dump then to mount LCM
3) write modified dump then to mount Tacho
4) write modified dump then Ricalibrare the keys (To change the km to the keys is necessary to insert them one after one then (ON - OFF) for about 1 minute. (for each key) - All keys .

I meant the algo of that BMW E46 was matched to your ECU and dash dumps and could show correct km on NYO4 , so you can use that algo to write new km to the other parts (memory devices) that you still have in that bike and proceed in the same sequence to get synchronization at the end between the dash and the ECU...

I think youre problem is the abs pump this is causing the blinking of the dash.
I dont think someone is able to do this bike yet.

Search forum several people having same problem, pls dont drive the bike when is blinking.

hi mate ,, which MCU/EEPROM part # do you have in this EWS?

for some EWS , you may need to put zero in certain locations instead of writing a new km !
