laptop turns off if usb is used

if u plug a cable into usb port power turns off can anyone help?

Does this happen with a specific cable or any cable?
Have a closer look maybe one on the pins are bent and causing a short circuit ether in the USB port or the actual USB dongle.
It could be dirt causing this so you could try cleaning the port as it might help.
Worst case scenario your USB port is fried leave it alone if so.

check the usb port and clean it first with non electric cleaner contact...dry it and check it (use it again)...if still happen you must not use the usb port again
