Hi guys & gurus, I have a 2005 vw polo with a BBZ engine.
I have a faulty ecu & want to know where the immo info is held so I can replace it.

I was hoping for either how to get the SKC or to know if it is possible to swap eeproms over?

It has a magneti marelli ecu in it part no. 036 906 034 AK

I have had a quick look inside this but cant see anything that look familiar

or can I immo off this one?
or with vcds & vag tacho can i re-code another ecu to this car?

No immo off solution.
Swap eeprom 95080 between ecu's.

ok lupu, that should be no problem, but i cant see one with that number on it, although there is only 1 8 leg eeprom on the board. Can you confirm that one in the shot is it? I think it has 2904 on it, but can confirm that tomorrow
or is it under that metal box? I havent taken that off yet, i am not sure which one to swap, do you want me to take that cover off and post another pic?

Hello,
1) if you don't found the eeprom (95080), (maybe)>> some one remove it from ecu board >>(maybe).
2) because in first photo look carefully between the (2) big I-C you have empty place for eeprom with 8 legs, try to see.....
Good Luck....

nah, no one has removed it cos it starts and runs fine.

Ive just taken the cover off from isdie & there is an eeprom in it with the number 95080. So thanks Lupu, I will just swap it from a second hand ecu , but just so I know, if I posted a dump would someone be able to get the pin from this?

And just in case, can you confirm this is the right eeprom?

ok guys I have attached the dumps from both the original ecu & the eeprom from the donor ecu in case anyone finds it helpful. I just swapped them over & away it went. I just wanted to sort out the SKCs so I can do it in the future, thanks to all that replied!
