I'm trying to read a MC9S12H256 mask 1K78X with x prog m with no luck. I'm reading with chip off board and attached to the QFP112 board. I have modified the BDM board as per errata PDF and stll no luck! Anyone can help me?

Also if I buy UPA USB serial programmer which adaptor do I need for this chip?

Thanks

Xprog-m and the UPA with PDF manual.

to read that mcu you don?t need to make anything to the board.
the board you use is to the security micros
you must use normal board.
like our friend say read the help pdf
in your case the mcu is not security.

I have read the PDF and tried both with bdm board and without. Neither work that's why I ask.

What the QFP112 board is used? connection of only four or six wries to the MCU off the original board will never give you luck, more than those pins are needed to connect but readily done on its own PCB. Put the MCU back to the original board use or not use the BDM securied adapter is the choices.
