Hi good evening.
Wonder if someone can please help me on one doubt I have.
I was reading one of this units eeprom (93C56) on board, after many tries with all "FFFFFFFF", I decided to take it out of board, and read it out.
Fine, no prob, took it out, but even now, all I read its all "FFFFFF".
Could be that maybe data became corrupted ???
Then I have no back up of it at all.
Is the original crash data always a must??????

And my doubt is:
Could I try to write on eeprom, one of the clear dumps posted here in forum, and reported as OK. Of course from an identical unit 98820CD600.
Would unit works then as normal ????
I mean, writing it (havent write till now nothing), after writing, confirming its right writen by reading it after, lets see if then not all is "FFFFFFF".

Thanks in advance.
Regards

its seems you dont have adapter connected correct to eprom
..
try reading a different eprom.

yes you can put a other dump to the eprom from the same part#.

what programmer are you using?

Hi Iwood, thanks for your comment.
I use UPA, and Ultraprog.

I really think eeprom became corrupted or like that.
I did try many, many several times, on board, and out board.

If I can write a reporting working dump, then its not a problem.
I was just afraid, that having old crash info was a MUST.

Thanks again.
