There is a trick that I read on a truckers forum, I've never tried it. The way they do it is to trick the "barometric pressure sensor" to think that it's a high altitude in effect the ecm goes into "condensation protection mode" (egr is closed). Like I have said I have never try this and I'm not sure of the effects this trick would have on the fueling of the engine.
