Ok, with key drumroll opens but after 30 seconds or so it gets an error and shuts down.

My Drumroll would hang up for a long period of time then get an error message (I don't remember the message). I had experienced a similar problem with DDRS unless the my USB Link was connected to my computer. I connected my USB Link before opening Drumroll and no more hang up or error messages. I an running this on an Acer Netbook with an Atom processor and XP Home.

It's looks like it takes the same KG as DDRS 7.03 (sometimes listed as DDDL7 KG) , maybe up to 7.05 I don't remember for sure.

you can do this...

c/program files/diagnostic link. then copy and paste here the Branding.dll. you need to use the file only with this name "Branding.dll" rename if it need and use the correct one, there ar two craks, 7.06 and 7.07 each one for each version. good luck.:party:

drumroll can be used to do not only the MCM (motor control module) but also the CPC (chassis prossesing controller) and the APC on 2010 and up(aftertreatment controller) it is finiky though. havent mastered it yet but with right version can do a lot.

I think it will be necessary to have DDDE licensed at level 1 (engineering level) before you can do that. I think at that level it will function like DCT. I'm looking for a way to license at level 1. If anyone knows the answer PM me or post the answer here.

You want read write access 3 and hardware level 4, open the prameters screen, top left corner lists your level, if not engineering you will be just like reprogramming, if is engineering should be just like dct

on ddec 6 a lot of the parameters you will be looking for are in the CPC, and 2010 up have MCM2, CPC2 and APC2, mapping the connections are different comm settings, under options connection, A+J+Y IS FOR 07

I have not used mine but it appears to have the proper levels. My version is 7.06.

IF someone can confirm it works I will share the crack/keygen/instructions. I try to only share proven methods.

I think we're looking for product level 4. It's in the license manager under help. The 7X KG works for hardware level 4 but not product level 4.

The 7x KG that says "coded by Dee" produces keys for read write levels 1 through 15 and the ones I have checked say hardware level 4. I haven't spent a lot of time using DDDE but I don't see a lot of difference between levels 3 and 15. Maybe there's a combination like crazy60 says, read level 3 and write level 4 that I haven't tried yet.

Indeed KG can make keys from Level 1 to 15 and I would say there is no difference between 3 to 15, for example, Install DDDL and enter a level 3 to 15 license on it, you'll see that DDDL will work on Level 1 even if it has a level 15 license, same for DDRS, it will work as Level 2 by default, the modded DLL to make an offline activation it's patched to make it work at level 3 on the newer version that is posted on this forum.... So probably what you need is a patched DLL to work in a higher level...

This is a screenshot showing level 4 so if this is what you need just download the attached file ddde.rar, it's a patched dll to make the offline activation and go up to level 4...
Just replace it in the same place as the file you had replaced before to make the offline activation....
To test if it works I'll recommend to use short term keys for 1 year instead of the non expire keys....

Take a look at the attached pictures. With the new DLL file mine says product level 4 and read / write level 15 in the "License Manger" and in the "About" description it says Hardware level 4 and read / write level 4.

I don't see the product level listed in the "About" description.

Maybe we can find out soon if these new levels give us more access to the programming.

Here's a MCM and CPC file if anyone wants to take DDDE for a test run.

These go in C:/Detroit Diesel/Drumroll/User Data/Parameters. Then in the hit the Parameters menu button select import files and go to that folder.

I got hooked up to a DD 15 truck with DDDE licensed at Product level 4 using the new .dll file. I didn't see any difference between the available parameters or folders than Product 3 provided. Am I missing something? Has anyone seen some difference I didn't see?

From level 3 to 15 I haven't noticed any discernible difference. I don't think Detroit has implemented anything in the higher levels.

I don't think there are any differences, and maybe you can still do the same with DDRS and the patch to use it as Level 3 but this will be a newer version than DDDE, I hope that somebody can make the test and talk about the results....

for 2011 you need to go to tools, options, then the connections. 2007 to 2009 use ceasar A+J+Y, FOR 2010 UP USE AE+J+Y, Has to connect before you can see anything, that screen for reprogramming will try and go to the server and unless you have a factory auth or a saved file ur done. with right license you can open parameters and make changes, MANY changes!

Oh, how the software worked, when you hook up it does a full system scan on the truck. It then sends that information to the network and after the check, the tech can move on. It takes about 3 min to do. If there is a change, you get a warning that the ECM has been "footprinted" and a code goes into the ecm. It then loads to the manufacturer and pulls your node id. (that is the esc you are using to connect) It then pulls up all the stamps of who connected and shows what they changed in a special file that gets sent. Then a notice comes up that says "warranty voided" in big letters. The customer who owns the vehicle will then receive a print out of who, what, how, and why of warranty void with a number to call. The customer then has to call the number. The tech can then only pull codes and can't clear them, and truck is in derate mode until owner calls the number and gets a code put in the network to remove the derate.

The high question we asked was how can they derate if vehicle is owned by someone else. Response, they own the proprietary information and the warranty. Therefore, they can derate the same as DEF, CES, DPF, engine protect, etc. Difference is they are derating for mandatory customer notification to protect their proprietary information. I can see the lawsuits already...

As of January 2013 it will be detected. That is for Cummins and Detroit both since the Detroit uses the Cummins turbo and exhaust system. They joined together to create a parameter check program that will scan all users registered on DCSN and Insite. If anyone hooked up and is not registered and (here is the big one) if the ECM program shows any version placed that is not done by a dealer or certified shop, your warranty is out the window. I just did a training class for Van Hool (who is introducing a truck next year) and was trained with the new software for both companies. Too many claims to later learn ECM changes were made. They are cracking down and doing it hard. So beware of any future ECM changes.

It shocked me to learn that info. Now you have to verify these shops hooking up have a active license for the software and not a bootleg. Then if ECM changes, they better be an approved shop or you just lost their warranty.

Oh, all registrants will be mailed a certificate in December to post and make visible to the customer so they can verify the registration with expiration dates.

The companies are changing the way us shops will be doing business.

Every time the ECM is accessed it leaves an ID footprint. If you don't have an ID assigned from Detroit, the footprint is left either blank or an unauthorized ID. Both Cummins and Detroit have a zero tolerance policy to deny warranty claims with an ECM that has been "signed" with an unauthorized ID. While the only time they can see it is at an authorized dealer, if you need warranty work, your DONE!

Their concept is that they own the IP and are only "lending it" to you...as I said before, the lawyers are going to get rich...

Just a note on what I have found. DDDE can not change and then flash MOST parameters directly. The file must be uploaded from mcm/cpc, decrypted, edited in MS Excel, encrypted then flashed back with DDDE.

As far as detroit and cummins monitoring access and changes on individual control modules, that is simply not true. It is a fact that changes to certain parameters do create an entry in the audit trail, however, the audit trail data is NEVER examined unless an event occurs which would justify an investigation into that particular unit. Also, if a user is using software that is not "registered" in the proper way, the tool id will be untraceable.

Hello everyone:

I just installed DDDE 7.06 and have Read 3, Write 3 and Product 4. Program work fine on viewing Fault Codes, Instrumentation, Parameters and all others. The problem I notice is that I can not make any changes to parameters such as speed limit, HP, or even perform testing on Cylinder Cutout, Delta Calibration. It will give me a message negative response or the program shut down. I am using this on Window 7 32 bit. Not sure if this is the problem. Any one has a clue?
