My Mum brought the KDL32V4000 and it's a really good picture on a standard VM Pace Box, This without doubt is one of the best LCD's i have seen, The KDL40V4000 has a even better screen resolution 1920 x 1080 (1080p) and is excellent value for money with the improved Bravia Engine 2.

Yeah I ended up going for a Samsung 40A686 said to have stunning SD for a LCD. Just waiting for JL in Glasgow to get it in its on order though. 699 inc 5 year warranty. Every shop I looked in it seemed more natural than the sony and that was when I had played with the settings on both. :D

I've got a 40v4000, had it for about 10 months and i'm quite impressed.

I did read some reviews and one complaint was that it does perform image processing on a 1080p signal, apparently not needed, but watching an HD feed from the stb or the xbox i don't know what they are complaining about, looks great to me.

I have noticed however that you can really tell when you are watching older programs, there is a limit on how much you can clean up a poor signal, and the large screen only highlights this, but I guess this is true to all larger TVs and its more the fault of the broardcaster not the TV.

All depends on what's on the other end of the tv imo. Had the choice of the v4000 or a pana 42 plasma HD ready and again IMO for less ? the plasma wiped the floor with the v4000 in every way and the 100hz is a big bonus. Go for the lg pq6000 or if your staying LCD then I'd say the newish L42S10b from panasonic. Cheap but you'll get a 600hz HD ready or a better alternate LCD with the pana.
