Hey guys,

I tried clearing this one the way I've done other civics. I get 54-50 Internal Failure of the SRS Unit. Anyone can please look at me dump and clear and see what I've done wrong?

Thanks!

Hey man, I saw your post where you had the same problem with the same module. How did you end up fixing it?

I am also able to read a code for the seat belt ... so there is communication. I wonder if the seat belt has to be fixed first?

Thanks for the response, but I don't think this is correct because you are clearing the ID data of the module

i dont think so... I remember i had the same problem with a hybrid civic... also said internal failure, but the owner drove around and finished fixing his car and the light went off... maybe the problem is with the car...

Hey Zapp,

I did not. I appreciate your suggestion, but you cleared lines 320 and 330 which contain the module serial numbers. Even a new one from the dealer will have these lines programmed.

Have you cleared another civic before like this??

this is the way i do them. all the time. i fix these civic modules around every day.
if this doesnt work then your module is bad.

no go ... must be the module or something else shorting the module ... i tried programming a dump from another module and it gave me just the seat belt buckle pretensioner and OPDS/OPD internal fault codes, without the srs internal fault code. Once I initialized the OPDS/OPD, then the SRS unit internal failure code reappeared ...

I've done hundreds of these..roughly 1% of the time you will get a bad module. rare...but it happens.

I didn't get a chance to try icogsm's suggestion above, and anyway, he never sent me a password to the file, but the problem was fixed by installing a different module.

Hi
I have the same problem: "54-50 Internal Failure of the SRS Unit". While I'm sure the dump is cleared in right way

Can you send me the pass for your second dump (25320)for Civic module 77960-SNA-A216-M1. I'll try to fix in this manner

Thank you so much
