Please someone help. I have been at this box since yesterday morning when it arrived and my head is ready to explode. firstly it took me ages to set up on the gemini and when i tried to get an image the whole thing came up error. I have now tried different images and got dream elite on.i have channels but when it comes to setting up this card share thing,i have network test ok but can not for the love of anything get software updates or absolutely anything. I am not a one for giving in and like a challenge but honestly this is beating me hands down and the kids are sick of me in front of the t.v with a blank screen and a builders arse winking back at them. i moved from eurovox and starpoo for good reasons and i am now stuck on something that i thought would be easy enough to do. Please someone help me anyway possible and i am also in tyneside.:banghead:

Sounds like your almost there if you have channels mate, sounds like your struggling with your network.
If you are tell us what your router is and we can tell you what you need to put in network settings.
I take it you have ethernet cable going from box to router or you're using bridge or homeplugs?

This is my set up,ive set it up for a static ip address with dhcp disabled.
Notice how my ip address at the top mirrors the gateway ip address which is my routers ip address barring the last digits.
Depending on what router you have it should look similar to this set up.
My router is a belkin,if yours is the same copy mine and you will be connected and almost there.
Gateway and nameserver should be same ip address as your router mate.
