As expected :

5* and 5USA coming to Freesat by Christmas | ukfree.tv - independent free digital TV advice (http://www.ukfree.tv/fullstory.php?storyid=1107051910)

hopefully it will be FTA in the next few weeks.

good news for us in the UK very very bad news for many expats who will loose coverage due to the tighter footprint of ASTRA 1N

RubberDuck is correct, this is bad news for expats, particularly following the recent loss of the BBC news channel and its streams. Watching F1 this morning via slingbox is just not the same as the red button used to be.

That article says they are going to "introduce unencrypted versions" rather than just go FTA.

So i'm wondering if they may just broadcast encrypted and unencrypted versions like they currently do for Channel 5

Gees I would be interested if it was any other channel than 5...

Im yet to find a reason why any of their strings are worth watching.

The ITV regions that are encrypted will also go fta due to the launch of Astra 1N.

Have also just noticed that Challenge tv and the +1 channel and Pick tv and the +1 channel are showing as FTA, don't know if they will remain that way but for now they are free :)
