Don't know if anyone can help, I've searched all over the net with no luck so here's my shout to the people who know.
I have a Panasonic DMR-XW380 DVD Recorder/Player & it will only play European Region One DVD's, I have lot's of USA Region Two DVD's I need to play, so has anyone a Region code to make it Multi Regional or can you point me in the right direction, if your worried it may be unethical or something I'll let you have my e-mail then it's private, Cheers in advance

OK, for a start you're a bit confused about regions.

Region One DVDs are USA, Region Two are Europe.

You want your European Region two Panny to play Region one discs.

Pannys can't be unlocked with codes. They either need to be chipped, or a remote hacker used.

Some useful info here:

Make a disk copy using your favourtie cd/dvd burning software, like Nero, in most cases the region coding will be removed during the copying process, and then your copy will play in your player...

or just pop it into your dvd drive on your computer and watch via a friendly media player.

Thanks Guys, seems I'll have to wait till somebody works out a code & just play my dvd's on my cheap Samsung in the bedroom, I'm just miffed that a $400+ unit wont play them but a ?30 one will, it's ridiculous really & I begrudge paying ?25 for a remote hack.
